Saga of the Snocone

'm sure about 500 of you are sick and tired of hearing about my Snocone adventures — or lack thereof.

But I had to share the next chapter anyway.

I noticed some peeps standing at the window of the stand across from the AEN. At last, I thought, I will have my first snocone of the season.

So I enter the drive on the 10th street side and start to pull around and realize there is a SUV parked the wrong way at said window. Yes, they pulled up with the driver's side to the window. (FYI they had an OSU Cowboys license plate on the truck. Coincidence? You tell me.)

I decided to just park and wait. And wait. And wait. The group of one adult and three kids finally got their snocones and the backward vehicle finally got theirs just a few moments later. It was my turn!

So after letting the vehicle exit the wrong way, I pulled up to the window. A lady, apparently the owner (she may be new, didn't see her all last year) came up and said...

"Sorry sir. We aren't open. We're just preparing for next week."

Say what?

Really? I just saw you hand out about seven snocones and you can't make ONE more?

Really?

At this rate, I may kick the snocone habit.

And a special thanks to all my friends who brag on their statuses or mine about how much they are already enjoying snocones. Nice.

The Saga continues ...

This is getting silly.

Go by the snocome stand across from work today, pull up to the window and order my favorite -- Ice Cream flavor.

Told the young lady waiting on me that she had no idea how long I had been wanting one. Told her about the traffic at the other one, etc.

She hands me my ice creamed flavored yummy-looking snocone and I pull out.

I get ready for that yummy goodness, take a big ol' slurp -- and about vomit.

It was one of the worst things I had ever put in my mouth.

I tell Teri that the snocone tastes awful. I smell it. Gross. She smells it. Gag.

It was like it was rotten. Terrible. I felt sick.

Headed back, told the girl there was something wrong with it and told her to smell it. She almost gagged.

But at last, she replaced it with a margarita flavored snocone and it was delightful.

And that my friends, is surely the final chapter in this snocone saga.

Or is it?
